Contemporary society does not take in overweight or obesity. If your child is either obese or overweight, the most prudent thing would be to help him or her lose weight without making it seem so obvious. This is because the child would become cautious of his or her look and this can greatly interfere with the child’s self esteem.

You can help your child lose weight by letting him or her work out while doing exercises. Exercise helps to burn excess calories.

Also, you should select healthy and nutritious foods for your child. Offer low fat foods and encourage consumption of three light meals per day and two small snacks.
