To have an effective communication with kids you have to stoop down to their level, give them eye contact and then speak to them in an authoritative but calm voice. Kids love attention so when you want to speak to a child call them and ask them basic questions such as their names and where they go to school. When speaking with a kid do not ignore their views, remember everyone is entitled to a view. Always show that you do agree with what they are saying, if it is wrong then use a friendly way to approach them.
